The first NSERC BIN International Workshop will be held at the SAP Reserach Center Sophia-Antipolis, France on September 29,30, 2011.
The SAP Research Center Sophia Anticipolis is located in the setting of one of the most important scientific parks worldwide. A high concentration of IT and telecommunications industries within walking distance, proximity to partners and customers, as well as the educational establishments in the region provide the research center in Sophia Antipolis with an ideal working environment.
Attendees of the workshop will include a combination of NSERC BIN principal investigators, select students, and SAP researchers. The focus of the workshop will be "business user centric", emphasizing end-user scenarios and clear implications of the proposed research for the business user. Examples include but are not limited to search, recommendation, analytics, visualization, dashboarding, forecasting, alerting and sensemaking.
We are confident this initiative will result in a rich exchange of information, and the identification of potential for future collaboration which we will endeavour to develop in future years.
